Making the Mackalls

The journey of two hearts becoming one

Our Story

Our story was formed as God aligned our paths, leading us through separate seasons of healing into His perfect timing.

Before we ever met, we were both rebuilding—learning to trust God more deeply, growing through life’s challenges, and preparing our hearts for what He had ahead. T

hough we didn’t know each other yet, God was already at work. It all began on February 14—a day marked by love in more ways than one. What started as a simple connection quickly turned into meaningful conversations filled with laughter, depth, and peace.

From the very beginning, something felt different. Despite coming from different backgrounds, our values aligned effortlessly, and being together felt familiar—like home.

With God at the center, our relationship was built intentionally. There was patience, honor, and respect for process. We learned to communicate openly, cover one another’s weaknesses, and encourage each other’s growth. In each other, we found peace, safety, and a partnership rooted in faith.

Today, we look back with gratitude and move forward with excitement. We know this is a love God Himself authored, and we are stepping into the future hand in hand—ready to build a life marked by love, purpose, and unwavering faith. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

Our Story
Her Side

Her Side

Wow—where do I even begin? All I can say is this: this is the Lord. When God does a thing, there are no gaps or loopholes—only grace and perfect timing. Throughout my journey of singleness, I was deeply invested in singles programs and prophetic declarations about kingdom marriages. Through it all, I held firmly to clear standards and strong convictions, never lowering them—no matter how many introductions or opportunities came my way.

I became discerning, thick-skinned, and unapologetic about character. I paid attention to the small things others might overlook—not material things, but qualities that spoke to leadership, integrity, and the heart of a man who could truly lead me. I asked God to show me the qualities my husband would have, and I wrote them down.

Though 2022 brought many confirmations and prophetic words about marriage, the years that followed required patience. I waited through tiring and discouraging talking stages, trusting that obedience would lead me to the right place.

When God led me to relocate to a new state, I never imagined that shortly after, one simple act of obedience—to try again—would change everything.

Among many conversations that confirmed what I was not looking for, this man stood out. He asked to call instead of text, and in that first conversation, he asked questions that touched my heart—about building family, marriage, and whether I was truly ready to receive love.

That first call became many—daily conversations filled with laughter, depth, and ease. Very quickly, we began calling each other “twins.” Despite coming from different cultures and backgrounds, we matched in ways I never expected. It felt as though we had been raised with the same values, the same heart, and the same outlook on life.

Walls I didn’t know I was holding began to fall, and I found myself trusting again. What set him apart was his intentionality. He honored process, respected boundaries, and never assumed access or joked about me being his wife before the time was right.

Time and time again, he showed me that I was safe, valued, and covered. In quiet, consistent ways, he showed me care, protection, and love I had prayed for but never experienced.

Though he was also in a season of rebuilding his relationship with God, what stood out most was his humility and teachability. He carried a genuine friendship with God—evidenced by the fruits of the Spirit.

Today, I am filled with gratitude and peace. I know this is a union God Himself authored. With Him at the center, I am excited for the future we are building together.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6 I love you, baby.

His Side

I was rebuilding my relationship with God, recovering from a knee injury, and entering my second year after receiving a promotion at work and in the military, following a hard season without stable employment.

When I first saw Remi online, one of the first things I noticed was her smile and the way she carried herself. She was fully dressed and modest, and there was something refreshing and genuine about her.

From the beginning, God was at the center of our relationship. I quickly noticed how similar we were in many ways and how naturally our connection grew. I truly enjoyed every moment we spent together. Being with her felt right—like something I could happily choose forever. Even our differences brought us closer, helping us grow individually and together.

She supports and inspires me, especially when we make plans and pursue our goals. We complement each other by leaning into our strengths and helping one another where we're weaker.

What I love most is the peace we share. We're able to talk through our differences and emotions openly and respectfully, without ever tearing each other down.

What makes us work so well is our ability to communicate and to cover each other's weaknesses. We always find a way to understand one another and choose happiness together.

I knew I wanted to propose because God made it clear—she was the one, and it was the right time. There were no doubts.

I felt confident and supported, with an amazing group of friends who helped me plan and gather everything needed. My only concern was making sure the ring was ready on time, but even that brought peace—because once God set the date, I knew everything would be perfect.

Stepping into this new milestone, facing new challenges, and building a future with God at the center is what excites me most—especially starting a family the right way.

I strive to be a husband who provides, leads, teaches, and loves deeply—someone my family can rely on and someone who shows care, patience, and commitment in every season.

I'm looking forward to a lifetime of marriage filled with joy—traveling together, growing together, and living a healthy, happy life side by side.
